I haven't seen all of the fabrics yet, but at a glance I saw some Tina Givens', Amy Butler's, Heather Bailey's, Park Slope's, Drawing Room's, Martha Negley's and tons more. I think it has just about all Westminster's designers in it.
I'd like to say a HUGE HUGE thank you to Westminsters Fibers Inc. for the donation and generousity. Without your help and our other donators' help, this drive will be impossible. This is very touching and heartwarming. Thank you so much everyone.
Here's the pic of the box and the fabrics inside:

The first two is by designer boutique*layceeloo. The pants in the first pic is made with Michael Miller fabric from his Ginger Blossom's line. I can't identify the second print, but LOVE the apples print. Both garments are very chic and has a bit of retro feel to them. I can see these garments worn to schools, vacations, parties, and just about everywhere.
The third garment is by designer hautetottiesboutique. The appliques are amazing, but also try to take a peek on the doggie fabric used underneath. The print is super cute and the silhouette is very girly. The boutique bow is included, so you'll have a complete ensemble.

I am a big fan of Japanese fabrics, I think they are just so chic. That's why I just have to feature this knotted dress and knit hoodie set by designer the_posh_piggy_couture. The red from Amy Butler fabric picks up the red in the nursery rhyme theme fabric and adds a chic touch. Talking about east meets west!
The second set is by designer queen*bree*designs, and it's perfect for tweens. This Vida and Deco jeans set features High School Musical print, all tweens know that HSM is very hot right now. HSM 3 movie due out later this month, so if you have a fan of HSM in your house, she is going to freak out, in a good way of course, if you get her this set.

So I think I might need few volunteers to sew these once the box from Westminster arrives. I will organize a small group consisting of a few designers/seamstress. And we will have two teams. First team will be a bandana team. Second team will be headband/bowband team, they will sew fabrics that are too small for bandana (because I don't want any fabrics go to waste) and make them into headbands or bowbands.
I will list a custom outfit on ebay to raise money to pay for shipping back and forth to our volunteers.
I will open a new thread in our forum for people to sign up for this volunteer job. I hope we'll get quite a turn out.
I have to say that this is very heartwarming, knowing that I can rely on big companies and our members to do this drive. Thank you so much everyone. If this one went well, which I'm sure it will be, I will start another drive early next year. And I expect it's going to be a bigger one.
Here's the pic of the fabrics I received today.

This one is one of my favorites. Take a closer look at the charms, how cute is that! Your little readers will treasure this necklace by designer sophies*beads. And for those who bought or are buying outfits from HC Reading Rainbow Launch, you have to have this, your set won't be complete without this cute accessory.

I'm not going to discuss this from a buyer's point of view, because it is a known fact that all the clothing is mouthwatering, and I'd like to buy them all if I can :)
Here are my top picks from their 2008 winter collection and I just want to do a quick analysis from a designer's point of view.
I am really fond of the mix and match of prints on the first picture. Big stripes, small stripes, big polkadots and small polkadots. The silhouette of the dress is so cute and chic, and the color of course is so versatile and can be mixed with all colors in your child's wardrobe.
The second picture, I heart the colors, very vibrant, and the pink sweater works really well with the top + skirt. And don't forget the little butterfly clippie, it really adds more girlie touch.
Third picture, I always love a tailored look and a big fan of suit jacket. This suit jacket is very classy yet still very edgy. The skirt is super adorable, the uneven hem shows the layer of tulle underneath and adds a fun texture.
Last but not least is these two sets. I adore everything about them. From the colors, prints, silhouettes, and layerings.
LOVE them! They just scream boutique, so pretty, chic, and you won't find these anywhere else but here:
In her ME page, she says she welcomes custom orders. So if the auction of the item you like is ended, just contact the designer/seller and request for a custom order.

I am going to work on some bandanas about a couple of weeks from now for children who have lost their hair because of a medical illness. Amy Butler will send me some fabric samples to help this project. I will donate these bandanas to littlestheroes.org. Felicia, the founder of this non-profit organization, will send the items right to the children from The Littlest Heroes Project. She will also send the items to hospitals if they need some.
Anyway, because of the emails I received, I thought might as well make this to be a group thing. So I will collect hats and bandanas for these children to wear in winter and summer. We are looking for hats from infant all the way through adult sizes (for the teens and children with bigger heads!) Girls AND boys! One thing we ask is that you make sure that all hats and bandanas MUST be new. We cannot send used items to the children for health reasons.
The hats can be just regular hats or knitted. I recommend the bandanas measures approximately 22" x 22", 100% cotton. You can sew in your tag on your bandanas if you want. You can hem the edge with narrow hem or rolled edge.
If you want to donate, please contact me. Please put "Hats/Bandanas Donation" in your title. And I will email you my mailing address. Hats and bandanas must be received no more than Nov. 30th!
Thanks everyone and a special thank you to Amy Butler for her generousity.
